Get Out of Your Comfort Zone.

Get out of your comfort zone.

We hear it all the time. That’s how change & growth happens.

We know we should be uncomfortable.. But how?

How do we willingly face the anxiety, the pain, the fear, the discomfort?

Here are a couple of techniques that will help you navigate that unease. With these steps you can show confidence, strength and even joy when facing something new, challenging, scary or painful.

Accept that the situation you’re in is something new to you in this moment.

Whether or not you’ve been in this situation before, if you don’t know what to do, how to do it, or if you can do it — that’s okay! Just know one thing - you don’t have to know everything. This lightens a load off your shoulders, doesn’t it? Now, give yourself permission to make mistakes. Mistakes and failures serve as great learning tools.

Ask questions when you can.

When you can’t ask questions, google answers. When you cant google answers, simply follow your intuition. Having information often settles our minds. We can also quiet our minds by looking within.

Find pride in discomfort.

You’re uncomfortable, you're nervous, you're in pain, you're scared. Maybe you're pushing past obstacles or adversities. Maybe you're silencing pain or judgement. Maybe you're giving everything you got, leaving it all on the table. This is difficult... but that's what's going to take you to the next level. No matter what it is, you are putting in the effort - and that is an achievement. Take pride that you’re doing something more than the bare minimum. You are facing a challenge, no matter how big or small it may be.

You are winning.

If feels good to win, right?!

Now, let that personal victory move you forward.

No matter your fear, pain or discomfort- use these tools to grow through it.

Be curious, try something new, challenge yourself, because “if we’re growing, we’re always going to be out of our comfort zone.”
